COMARC/A | December | 2019 |
It is possible to search through the complete basic index without using a search suffix. Search suffixes have been created for subfields that best display the content of the indexed document and are therefore most frequently used for searching. They can be used to limit the search to specific subfields.

Notes
CB=, CH=, PH=, PN=, VN=
Since subfields of an individual field are indexed as one phrase, it is advisable to truncate the search term with the "*" character when searching with CB=, CH=, PH=, PN= or VN=. The access points in indexes CB=, CH=, PH= and PN= are indexed with all diacritics entered in the access point. They are not findable without the diacritics.
